Pennsylvania – Key to Winning the Midterms

We can’t overstate the importance of flipping the House to put a check on Trump. Nationwide, there are only 17 tossup races – and the party that wins the majority of these will very likely control the House. Pennsylvania has three of these races, making it, once again, a keystone state. Join us and our co-hosts by Zoom on May 4 at 5 PM EDT to learn how you can help Dems win in Pennsylvania. Co-hosts currently include Allies for Democracy, Be the Change, Chop Wood-Carry Water, and Third Act Maryland.

Paige Cognetti, the feisty mayor of Scranton, will give us an insider’s view of the battle for House control. She’s running a strong campaign to unseat a Republican in PA-08. Learn more about her in this NY Times profile.

We’ll also hear from Joanna McClinton, the dynamic Speaker of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She’s a leader in the campaign to expand the House’s current one-seat majority. A Democratic statehouse in PA will help ensure that elections in the Keystone State are free and fair in 2028.

Our Pennsylvania grassroots ally, Make the Road Action PA, will turn out essential votes for both state and federal candidates. Co-director Diana Robinson will join us to share the 2026 strategy for empowering underrepresented communities and inspiring them to vote in November.
